PROJECT MANAGER POSITION: We are in search of a Project Manager to join our team. If you are in the trades and do high-quality work you are proud of, these positions may be a great fit. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Plan and manage multiple ongoing projects from conception to implementation - Map out timelines - Assess project risks and opportunities - Execute each phase of the project life cycle - Create, allocate, and manage the budget - Communicate with all executive staff - Troubleshoot problems and challenges to resolve issues impeding project success. - Deliver the desired result PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS - Planning and forecasting through use of known information to make predictions and estimates. - Risk assessment and management including anticipating and navigating around them. - Budgeting of people and dollars through understanding of financial constraints and availability of team members. - Tracking and monitoring of projects to ensure they are running according to plan including course correction when necessary. - Application of chosen project management methodology - Meeting facilitation including creating agendas, documenting notes, and following up on action items. - Proper and effective use of project management software ATTRIBUTE’S AND ABILITIES - Leadership through use of effective coaching, guiding, and monitoring; creation of the team vision, managing disagreement, achieving consensus and driving team motivation. - Critical Thinking and Problem Solving by use of critical thinking skills to navigate through and solve complex problems and situations. - Communication skills (1) Knowing how to approach people, create meaningful relationships with team members, and articulate what needs to be achieved. (2) Keeping leadership and stakeholders informed about the progress and latest happenings with the project. - Collaboration achieved by coordinating tasks and ensuring that everybody works together effectively. - Time management including personal time management and the time and capacity of all of the project’s team members. - Organization including managing deadlines, resources, task dependencies, and changes. - Adaptability to changing or unanticipated circumstances.
