Description

Duties and Responsibilities - Drives bunks, evaluates feed consumption and prepares daily feed calls, enters calls in computer system and distributes feed calls, rations and bunk hay to be fed information to the truck driver. - Enters incoming cattle receivings into the feed system. - Prepares mid day and end of day computer feed processing. Posts end of day from feed system and transmits records to the Cattle Bookkeeper. - Works closely with nutritionist and Feed Manager on periodic ration changes. - Communicates ration changes to feed crew and Cattle Bookkeeper. - Makes ration formula changes to the feed management system and feed truck computer systems. - Coordinates truck maintenance schedules and repair needs with Shop Manager. - Responsible for timely feed truck scale checks and scale calibrations to meet WDA compliance regulations. - Will check for variances on trucks on a daily & weekly basis. - Works closely with Cattle Manager regarding cattle information including receivings, movements and shipments. - With their department, work to achieve critical success factors - Attend and participate in budget, safety and supervisor meetings.
