Description

To perform a variety of entry level maintenance and repair duties. As followed: exceptional customer service skills, janitorial and organizational skills, entry level plumbing, entry level electrical and entry level carpentry. Employees at this level receive regular instruction or assistance for new or unusual job tasks and have a general understanding of the operating procedures and policies of the Housing Authority. Essential Functions: 1) Perform the entry level maintenance of buildings, structures, grounds, and related systems. Perform entry level duties in the area of assignment including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting/drywall and ground maintenance. 2) Complete assigned work orders and tasks requiring entry level maintenance skills and techniques following Housing Authority policies and procedures. 3) Estimate time, materials and equipment required for jobs assigned; requisition materials as required. 4) Maintain operational records; file reports as needed; possess the ability to operate and adapt to required technology provided. 5) Required to be on call after hours and available for snow removal/emergency/disaster situations, on a rotating basis, as necessary. 6) Ensure the adherence to safe work methods, techniques and compliance with applicable standards. 7) Operate various hand and power tools and shop equipment, while observing safe work methods, techniques and compliance with applicable standards. 8) Perform related duties and responsibilities as required. Must Possess a minimum of one year of maintenance service or related experience, or specialized training in maintenance field and the equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade (high school diploma or GED). Must possess a valid Colorado Driver License.
