We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of Double J Riding Club, while working under our Head Maintenance Officer. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as lawn maintenance, building repair, general labor, fence repair and installation and other small farm activities, etc. A Maintenance Technician is a professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas of our 6 acre farm. Please note that this a maintenance position and not a stall cleaning position. Responsibilities Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.) Work on construction projects to help the farm. Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.) Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.) Basic small animal care. Other jobs as assigned on the farm. Skills Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices Electrical knowledge a plus. Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work. High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus Construction or Farm experience a plus.
