Seeking Custodian/Janitor/Maintenance Person Job Brief Rogers Park Baptist Church (RPBC) seeks a responsible custodian to maintain our facilities, internally and externally, as well as the appearance of our church and building. Responsibilities include; careful and thorough cleaning and tidying of the premises for our worship services and meetings, inventory and supply restock, utilize/apply insecticides as necessary, perform maintenance and minor repairs. The ideal candidate will be a Christian non-smoker, experienced in custodial activities focused on building upkeep. They will have great physical endurance, e.g., moving furniture, secure facilities after operating hours, have a keen eye for detail, and knowledge of janitorial cleaning supplies and equipment. Part-time position with weekday working hours (4 hours daily), mainly 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Reports to the Administrative Board of Rogers Park Baptist Church. Requirements • Experience as custodian or janitor/maintenance • Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances • Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components • Familiarity with basic landscaping, and handyman practices a plus • Attention to detail and conscientiousness • In good physical condition and strength.
