Job Title: Warehouse Associate Job Brief: The Warehouse Associate’s primary function is to keep the warehouse organized, clean, and running smoothly. Job Location: 5717 West 6th Ave, Lakewood, CO 80214 Position Type: Full Time. Must be flexible to work over 40 hours when needed. Job Shift: Shift hours are scheduled Monday – Friday, rotating Saturday shift as needed. Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based upon experience Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Job Description The Warehouse Associate’s primary function is to keep the warehouse organized, clean, and running smoothly. Essential Job Duties Duties/Responsibilities • Welcome delivery trucks • Receive and track shipments • Embark merchandise in delivery trucks using appropriate tools • Accommodate and carefully handle fragile merchandise • Track and document exact shipment arrival and departure times • Tag and label merchandise • Label and stockpile merchandise according to size, shape, and type. • Box, wrap and pack merchandise in accordance with relevant procedures and standards • Prepare all orders for shipment • Record and manage all impaired or damaged merchandise items • Operate adequate merchandise management tools (for example, forklift) • Enter data in inventory and logistics software programs • Complete other duties as assigned by the Delivery or Production Manager Material Handling • Sort and get the finished products wrapped and loaded into the trucks. Knowing how to organize and load the products is essential! • Stage, load, and unload the right products and materials and the correct location. Attitude • Taking initiative to minimize wait times by proactively loading, securing, and unloading vehicles. • Willingness to work overtime to ensure we meet our commitments to our customers and our team members. • Desire to exceed expectations. Job Requirements Required Qualifications • You must be 18 years or older • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent • Must be honest and reliable - be on time and plan ahead • Show initiative - if you don't have an assignment, do something to improve the warehouse/shop • Take pride in your work • Reliable transportation to/from work Physical Requirements • Great physical stamina and manual dexterity • Lifting and handling of heavy materials • Dexterity and coordination required in using carpentry tools Preferred Qualifications • Valid Driver’s License • Clean driving record • Forklift Operation Certification Knowledge/Skills/Abilities • Basic knowledge of measuring and calculating dimensions of a project using a tape measure and calculator • Work together as part of a team • Willingness to learn • A keen attention to detail • Be open to feedback, challenging yourself, and learning new things • Able to use a smartphone calendar and basic PC skills • Able to manage your time to complete multiple tasks that may be assigned at once • Ability to problem solve, complete assigned tasks efficiently, and exercise sound construction and safety-oriented judgment.
