We’re your friendly local furniture bank, serving the Portland area for the past 20 years. How does a furniture bank work? We connect donated household goods and furnishings to our neighbors in need, creating stronger home foundations and brighter futures. At the center of a network of over 200 partners, Community Warehouse’s work is done in collaboration with organizations throughout the region.

Who We Are Looking For:
We are building a roster of on-call staff members to cover the vacation and sick day shifts of our full-time employees at our Portland and Tualatin Warehouses. Duties can include working in the warehouses accepting donations, assisting with furniture deliveries, and picking up residential furniture donations. The position is a great opportunity for anyone looking for extra work and looking to be a part of an organization dedicated to serving the community.
Qualifications:
Present a positive, service-centered, friendly demeanor
Ability to lift heavy furniture items with a team member and/or proper lifting equipment
Work well as an individual and as part of a team
Attention to detail
Commitment to the goals and mission of Community Warehouse
Required to work in all weather conditions
