Lube Service Technician We are looking for a Lube Service Technician to join our team at Thompson Bros. Excavating, Inc. This position will be responsible for the cleaning, maintenance, visual inspection, and removal of parts and attachments for all company vehicles and equipment. This individual will be working outdoors on heavy equipment approximately 90% of the time. Education & Training High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Minimum of 1-2 years related experience and/or training Responsibilities & Duties -Servicing all TBE vehicles and equipment. -Regular fluid checks and changes (i.e. oil, transmission fluid, coolant, etc.) -Identify various mechanical issues with accuracy. -Assist lead mechanic with various repairs. -Must be a team player. -Must be a self-started and able to work independently. -Maintain safe work environment. Requirements -Must be accurate with good time management and organizational skills. -Must have standard tools required for automotive repairs. -Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations. -Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. -Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. -Commercial Driver’s License and HAZMAT endorsement are required. -This is a physical demanding position. The individual in this position is expected to be able to regularly use hands to handle, or feel for objects, tools, or controls, or mechanical and non-mechanical controls and objects, and is frequently required to stand; sit; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear. This individual is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. -Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This is a full-time position with flexible schedule, typically 12:00pm – 8:30pm, or 10:00am – 6:30pm, with a half-hour lunch. Thompson Bros. Excavating, Inc., is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
