IIA Fire Department Testing, a leading company in the fire safety industry, is looking for Fire Equipment Technicians to hire full time. We provide an essential service testing fire equipment for fire departments at their locations. This is a General Labor position with no previous experience required. All training will be done on site. Required Qualifications • A Valid Social Security Number • A drivers license and reliable transportation to work • Be able to pass a drug test and background check • Hard working and very dependable Working Conditions • Work is Monday-Friday: leave Monday morning and return Friday evening with the majority of work being out of state. • Meet at a central location on Monday morning and travel in company vehicles. Drop off Friday evening at same location. • Meals and lodging covered by the company when traveling out of state. • Typical week consists of 40+ hours (Average of 50 hours/week) • Occasional work day can be 12+ hours • Shift is not over until job is completed. • Work boots required and work shirts supplied by company. Physical Requirements • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. • Frequently required to walk and bend over. • Must be able to work outside is various conditions (light rain, heat, cold, etc.)
