Leopard Tortoises, Geochelone p.babcoki CB babies, 1st. pictured one is hatching out today, "Tiny Tim" Not ready to go out yet. We dont let them go out till well started, Months old >> which we have ready now << This species like other African species such as G. sulcata do NOT hibernate so YES they need heated temperature controlled shelters during the winter months. They are suppose to live 150 years so PLEASE know all about them BEFOR getting one or any animal. They deserve proper husbandry their whole lives.
