Description
• Ability to perform labor tasks for continuous work activity, such as digging with shovel by hand, shovel snow, painting (inside and outside), and use of ladders
• Ability to perform plumbing and electrical work and other repairs and maintenance with the ability and dexterity to use the proper hand tools safely and efficiently
• Ability to accurately inspect apartments for repairs and maintenance
• Ability to remove tenant belongings and furniture
• Ability to use maintenance power equipment, such as lawn mowers, blowers, hand power tools, carpet cleaner, vacuum, and similar power tools and equipment
• Trouble-shoots diagnoses and correct minor air conditioning failures (i.e., low Freon, bad compressor, fan motors, etc.)
• Trouble-Shoots diagnose and correct minor heating failures (i.e., replace thermo couplings, exchangers, Etc.)
• Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle with a valid drivers' license
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, climbing, pulling, and lifting
• Frequent lifting of over 10 pounds unassisted throughout the day
• Occasional lifting of over 60-80 pounds unassisted throughout the day
• Infrequent lifting of over 80 pounds, unless assisted by another employee. (employees are encouraged to ask for lifting assistance when required, especially for heavier objects or objects involving a potentially awkward lift, such as a sofa or heavy piece of furniture).
• Experience or special skills that are needed may be taken into account for a maintenance position or the nature of job duties assigned.
• Light plumbing
• Apartment ready for rent
• Cleaning out household items and furniture left by tenants
• Cleaning and maintaining outside premises and landscaping
