Join us in the garden as we improve farm infrastructure, build compost, and prep beds for the growing season ahead. Accepting up to10 volunteers on Saturday March 13th from 12:00-3:00pm. We'll be composting, prepping a new chicken run fence, managing garden beds, pruning and training fruit trees. Please wear a mask and bring drinking water. We provide tools, gloves and a hands washing station. There is access to a restroom nearby. LOCATION: Meet at the "Top Lot" on the corner of Everhart and Yeager streets, across the street and up the named (Yeager) alley from our community warehouse space at 3510 Ash St. If you drive, just park on Ash Street near the 3510 Ash Street warehouse. The Woodberry light rail station is a 5 minute walk, and the nearest bus stop is 36TH ST & FALLS RD wb . From HOWARD ST & NORTH AVE nb take #94 Sinai Hospital bus to 36TH ST & FALLS RD wb. Walking directions from the bus stop: cross Falls Road and continue along 36th street past Roosevelt Park and Recreation center. You'll also pass by another community garden there. Keep going past the school downhill a few more blocks to the end of 36th street where it meets with Ash street at the bottom of the hill and turn left. You'll see 3510 Ash Street on the right, and you'll see gardens across the street.
