-start of work at the yard- ON TIME
-maintenance check - DAILY
-check fluid levels
-check tires
-grease fittings
Before you get in the truck:
Walk around the truck and perform a visual inspection.
Make sure all the gear that is required is on the vehicle.
Ensure that all ladders, pole saws, and power pruners are tied down.
Double check all hitches and electrical connections for towed equipment.
Make sure the truck is fueled up and you have plenty of mixed gas and bar oil.
-warm up equipment
-make sure there is sufficient chain saw/equipment gas/oil
-load all equipment properly on to truck needed for day's job
-consult with foreman to make sure all equipment/supplies required for day's jobs are loaded.
On job site.......................
-help load and unload equipment
-gas and oil chainsaws
-be ready to act on work request by crew leader
-keep track of ALL equipment needed by climber
-be ready to respond quickly to the needs of climber
-continuously remove fallen/felled limbs/brush and haul
chip
-make sure work area is left as clean as possible
- make sure all chainsaws/ropes are accounted for
-report any accidents that may occur on the job with crew or work equipment
immediately to crew leader
