Peace Camp helps kids develop peace making skills that they can use now and throughout life. It's a collaborative camp hosted by several faith communities and uses stories of faith and other wisdom sources to explore themes of peace making. Kids will play and craft their way to a better world. This summer expect all the fun of our traditional Peace Camp outdoors! To provide a healthy environment, the entire week is based outdoors with a culture of caring that includes small group sizes, wearing face coverings and physically distanced activities.
Camp is for kids preschool (age 4) to 8th grade. Middle school curriculum includes some time helping with younger classrooms in order to develop leadership skills.
Eventbrite listings can be confusing for multi-day camps. Camp runs from 9:00-Noon Monday-Friday, July 19-23. Everyone may bring their own water bottle and a personal snack for the morning. This summer we will NOT eat lunch together to reduce any time spent without face coverings.
Registration closes July 1 or when capacity is reached.
The camp is partially led by volunteers but all staff and volunteers are background checked and trained for child safety. For more information about our safe church/safe community policy, please contact Heather Bowler at [email protected].
