Objective: Responsible for taking a machined part and finish it per print (lay patterns, edge break, etc.) and other duties required Purpose: The Metal Detailer will support Manufacturing and other employees as required Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Must be able to use air and electric tools • Must be able to use a sander to sand down, polish and deburr the metal parts • Pay close attention to detail • Inspect parts after Deburr to ensure they are properly completed • Breaks all sharp edges on machined parts. Understand and follows all safety protocol • Perform housekeeping duties within the shop Job Requirements: • Verbal and Written communication skills • Ability to read blueprints and/or sketches • At least 6 months of experience in finishing department • Basic knowledge of safety protocol • Ability to work from written and verbal instructions • Basic knowledge of hand tools (files, deburr knives, grinders, sanders, etc.) • Previous experience working with metals • Beginner Deburr role preferred • Must be able to lift/carry 40+ LBS • Must have attention to detail • Must be able to wear the necessary PPE (safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, etc.) • Must be able to stand for long periods of time. • Ability to read blueprints and/or sketches • Overtime could be required during heavy workload times or in order to meet special customer demands • GED /High School Diploma preferred
