Temp-To-Hire, great opportunity to get your foot in the door for a large global company. 4am-12:30pm Monday-Friday Waste Material Sorter MUST HAVE OWN VEHICLE/THIS JOB IS NOT ON THE BUS LINE MUST Have 6'inches STEEL TOED BOOTS Waste Material Sorter Great opportunity for a temp to hire with a fortune 500 company. The Line Sorter is responsible for ensuring proper placement and sorting of recyclable materials on the conveyor line by performing the following duties. Essential Functions • Manually sort paper and other recyclable materials such as glass, plastic bottles and aluminum cans, etc.. • Inspect materials and sort items or materials into piles or places in container according to type, size, condition, coloring or paper grade. • Pull contaminants out of paper or off of floor. • Distinguish between various grades of paper for sorting. • Dump boxes and totes of material. • Keep surrounding work area clean. • Wear proper PPE at all necessary times. • Clean up conveyor and surrounding sorting line. • Safely operate and maintain tools and equipment. • Perform work and maintain work area • Follow appropriate standard operating procedures (SOPs) as guideline for operating and maintaining equipment. • Report any worker-public safety factors and/or equipment malfunctions. • Attend weekly/monthly safety/operations meetings. • Attend training on work-related topics. • Other duties as assigned.
