Valley Bank Donates $500 Million to Support COVID-19 Relief

TAMPA BAY, FL — Valley Bank has donated approximately $527,000 to eight organizations in Florida, part of nearly $2,183,000 of funds distributed to 264 organizations across its footprint to support COVID-19 relief efforts through its Community Pledge Certificate of Deposit (CD) Program. In 2020, Valley Bank offered a new Community Pledge CD designed to give back to organizations in the community that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The CD offered a market rate and Valley matched the interest with a direct donation to local community organizations that were providing relief in support of the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of the Florida donations, in the Tampa Bay area, grants were distributed to Feeding Tampa Bay, Tampa Bay Wave and The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay. "The funds we've donated through our Community Pledge CD program will help ensure the organizations that serve our communities can continue to do so," said Valley Executive Vice President and Chief CRA/CSR Officer Bernadette Mueller. "Valley is honored to support these organizations that have worked tirelessly in the face of challenges to serve our communities."
