Love the look of vintage tobacco baskets? Make your own chic version in this workshop with artist and maker Nancy Duffie! This popular event is back!! Love the look of vintage tobacco baskets? Make your own chic version in this workshop with artist and maker Nancy Duffie. You will leave this workshop with a completed 14"x 14" tobacco basket! Fee includes instruction and all materials. $40 (plus tax and fees) per person, pre-registration required. There are two class options: 9:30 am and 12 pm. There are 12 spots available per class, and each class will last around 1.5 hours. Registration will be open on Tuesday, February 18th at 9:30 am. Please note that masks are required to enter the Visitor Center, as outlined in Executive Order 163. You will be required to wear a mask for the duration of the class. The class will be held in our auditorium, with tables spaced well apart. Hand sanitizer is available as you enter the Visitor Center. We will also be sanitizing the space in between classes. Visitors are expected to follow the “Three W’s” as outlined by the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services – WEAR a cloth mask over your nose and mouth, WAIT in line at least six feet away from others, and WASH your hands frequently or use hand sanitizer. If you are experiencing symptoms of illness, please let us know. Refunds will not be given within a week of the class.
