CIS is hosting a free vein screening on 3.25 in Meridian, MS. Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) is hosting an event featuring free vascular screenings on Thursday, March 25th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at 4909 Great River Dr., Meridian, MS 39305. Guests will receive a complimentary ankle brachial index (ABI) screenings, blood pressure checks, and "quick look" venous reflux exams. An ABI simple, painless exam is used to test the blood flow in the legs to determine risk of vascular disease. Results will be reviewed on site by CIS interventional cardiologists, Dr. Zaid Altheeb & Dr. Scott Joransen. Risk factors of vascular disease include family history, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and diabetes, as well as smoking, being overweight or being inactive. Space is limited.
