JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO — Jefferson County shifted to Level Blue on Friday, but more than 50 businesses in the county were already operating under the level after they applied for the county's Five-Star Certification Program. All businesses in the county are now operating under Level Blue, but it's important to recognize the five-star businesses that implemented safety measures beyond what is already required by public health orders and guidelines. "This voluntary program is designed for responsible businesses that are following public health guidance and going above and beyond to prioritize the health and safety of their staff and customers," public health officials said on the county's certification website. "JCPH applauds those businesses that have become Five-Star certified by demonstrating their commitment to COVID prevention," said Dawn Comstock, Executive Director of Jeffco Public Health. "These businesses have shown they are dedicated to the safety of their customers. I appreciate their efforts and hope our Jeffco community will join me in thanking them."
