Description
FREMONT, CA — Union City resident Jack Liou is sharing a local getaway tip, in case you haven't already visited — California Nursery Historical Park in Fremont.
The historical Park is a 20-acre remnant of the once-sprawling California Nursery Company, that was associated with the 1893 Columbia Exposition, the development of Golden Gate Park, the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition, and the Golden Gate International Expositions of 1939 and 1940.
Jack's photos were snapped three weeks ago and show an abundance of blossoms. With this week's sunshine, there are likely plenty of trees and flowers in bloom.
Read more about the history of the nursery company online.
The park is at 36550 Niles Blvd., not far off Mission Boulevard.
