PALO ALTO, CA — Osmo, a Palo Alto-based company that designs digital learning games for children, is offering 20 mini-grants worth $2,000 of Osmo for Schools' technology to public schools. Recipients will be able to select from Osmo for Schools' products, which include learning kits and systems for teachers. Applications are open from July 1 to 17 and public schools in the United States are eligible. More than 30,000 schools in the country use Osmo. "Osmo for Schools is so thrilled to offer 20 mini-grants for the first time ever," said Jan Richards, head of education sales and marketing at Osmo for Schools, in a news release. "We know there are many schools across the country which lack needed funding to purchase educational technology, so we decided to give 20 schools a gift. Their students and teachers will have something to look forward to when they return to in-person learning this fall." Recipients will be announced on Aug. 9.
