LEMONT, IL — More charges have been filed against Michael Jacksa, a former counselor at Timberline Knolls in Lemont. Jacksa is already facing a total of 62 charges from six different cases, including charges of criminal sexual assault and criminal sexual abuse, Lemont Police said.
Six women say that between December 2017 and June 2018, Jacksa engaged in "inappropriate sexual behavior" during therapy sessions at the facility, Patch reported in 2019. Jacksa was first charged in 2018.
Lemont Police said the newest allegation is from late 2017, and the victim went to police in August 2020. Additional charges may be pending in the new case, police said.
Timberline Knolls is a residential treatment center for women and girls eating disorders, addiction and co-occurring mental health concerns, its website says.
Jacksa's state license as a clinical professional counselor was suspended in September 2018 by the Illinois Department of Finance and Professional Regulation.
Jacksa will appear in court on March 19.
