MILL VALLEY, CA — The Mill Valley Public Library is launching a robotics learning program for children. The virtual program, which is open to fourth through seventh graders, aims to teach physics and mechanical engineering. Students will pair with high school mentors to build a Vex catapult kit while learning the basics of conservation of energy and projectile motion. Mentors are highly proficient in physics and robotics. Kits will be made available through the Library's curbside service. The program will take place over five Zoom classes starting Sunday. The weekly classes will be held Sundays from 11 a.m. to noon. Participants will be sent a Zoom link upon registration and will receive an email when the robotics kits are available for pickup.
