Press release from the City of Lakeville: March 2, 2021 The City of Lakeville has now added a new device called the UbiDuo 3, wireless communication that enables people who are deaf and hard of hearing to communicate easily and effectively with staff and to interact instantly with each other face-to-face at any time and any place. The device does not require internet or WiFi. It can be used for planned meetings or for members of the public who walk in and need immediate assistance. It can be used for face-to-face communication with individuals who Are deaf Have had hearing and lost it (late deafened) Are using a tracheotomy Have expressive stuttering Or with any individual with a communication barrier Watch this short video to see how it works! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2ceYxbGvAQ Members of the public who wish to use this device at City facilities or during City meetings can request it by calling City Hall at 952-985-4407.
