BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The Bucks County Historical Society has been awarded $12,925 in state grant funding to help preserve historical archives. The Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission recently approved 31 Historical & Archival Records Care (HARC) grants totaling nearly $200,000 to help preserve the state's historical records and make them accessible. HARC grants fund projects designed to improve the preservation and accessibility of historically significant records maintained by local governments, historical societies and academic institutions. Funding for the awards spans two years. Based in Doylestown, the Bucks County Historical Society is a private non-profit organization that operates the Mercer Museum, Spruance Library and Fonthill Museum.
