FREE EVENT - A Prescribed fire is a safe and important land management tool that is used by Palm Beach County ERM to ensure a healthy & functioning ecosystem. Take a hike with the ERM Fire Manager and learn about the recent controlled burn at Winding Waters Natural Area. You’ll see the amazing recovery that’s already happening in the burned area and compare that to an area that hasn't burned, as well as learn about the role fire plays in the environment. Please bring your mask, water, appropriate clothing (hat, hiking shoes/boots, long-sleeved shirts and pants for bugs) and bug spray. Bathroom facilities are located nearby in Dyer Park.
