Are you a Direct Support Professional (DSP) or looking to enrich the lives of those who experience disabilities and live a full life as a valued member of their community? PCR Alaska, LLC is a small local business and is currently hiring DSP’s to expand their team. As a DSP, you will provide direct support to individuals who experience developmental and physical disabilities in a variety of community and home settings. Based on the individual's needs & goals, you will focus on teaching and modeling skills that foster community inclusion and independence with the highest quality of life. We have part-time positions open. Most part-time staff work between 10 and 25 hrs a week. Qualifications: · Patient, kind and interested in teaching life skills · Must be at least 21 · Pass background check · Communicate and write in English · First Aid and CPR (will train) · Valid driver’s license and insurance · Reliable transportation · Minimum of a high school diploma or GED Experience: None required; experience working with individuals who experience disabilities preferred, but training and continuing education available. Physical requirements/working conditions: This position requires the ability to model or demonstrate activities of daily living such as loading a washing machine, vacuuming the floor, folding clothes, and putting groceries away
