NYC/LI law firm seeks bookkeeper for Monday-Friday (9am -1pm part-time hours) with potential to expand hours to full-time in Mineola office
Responsibilities:
• Reconcile bank statements and credit cards statements
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivables
· Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
· Monitor financial transactions and reports.
· Process checks
· Understand ledgers
· Process tax payments and filings
· Work with an accountant when necessary
· Processing bi-weekly payroll
· Keep confidential all human resources and financial information and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Bookkeeper Requirements:
• Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles
• At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience within legal field preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Attention to detail and accuracy of work
• Experience with Quickbooks a must
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
