TO APPLY PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS POSTING WITH YOUR RESUME POSITION OVERVIEW: To support operational growth FB Timberline is looking for Class A Linemen to work in the Eastern Carolina regions on Duke Energy systems. Working under the direction of a Superintendent the Lineman will work in the construction and maintenance of overhead distribution and transmission systems. Responsibilities and Duties Essential Job Functions (day to day responsibilities): • Works safely while performing new construction, maintenance, or repair work of energized and de-energized overhead work • Ability to read prints for various structure types wood, and steel • Knowledge of different foundation types and the installation of them • Removing and replacing transmission structures • Slack/tension string overhead conductor, Sets poles, and anchors • Understands and can develop grounding procedures • Comfortable with working at heights and/or confined spaces • Ability to climb different types of structures (wood, steel, etc.) and possess the necessary tools to do so Requirements: • DOL Journeyman Certificate • 8 plus years experience as Journeyman Lineman • 3 to 5 years experience in Transmission • Class A CDL is preferred Additional Requirements: • Self-directed, outgoing personality and a team player • Well organized with attention to detail • Service orientated with strong communication skills • Ability to deal effectively with others in a diverse environment • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage timelines effectively • Work overtime as directed • Ability for Critical thinking and problem solving FB Timberline offers competitive compensation, a comprehensive benefits package, 401k, and rewarding career opportunities!
