BIRMINGHAM, AL — The Hewitt-Trussville girls basketball team absolutely dominated Tuesday in its semifinal game against Theodore, as the Huskies won 73-39 to reach another state championship game. Hewitt-Trussville was paced by Amiya Payne's 25 points and seven rebounds. The Huskies led by as many as 35 points during the game and had the lead the entire game. The championship game against top-ranked Hoover tips off at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Hoover won the meeting between the two teams earlier this season 60-58.
