Brookhaven Police Find Body At Police Station Construction Site

BROOKHAVEN, GA — Brookhaven police confirmed the body of a man was discovered Wednesday at the construction site of the future Brookhaven Public Safety Complex. At about 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, Brookhaven police were called to the construction site, located at 1793 Briarwood Road. Workers at the construction site reported finding a body on the property, inside the fenced-in construction area of the new police station. Investigators confirmed that the man was dead. Police officers are working with the DeKalb County Medical Examiner's office to identify the man, as well as determine a cause and manner of death, Brookhaven police spokesperson Lt. David Snively told Patch via email. Snively said the person does not appear to be a member of the construction crew, and it does not appear to be a construction-related death.
