Description

We are currently looking to hire day and night yard laborers! No experience required!! Yard laborers will assist in all yard duties, including but not limited to driving yard goat truck, loading and unloading and assisting maintenance when necessary. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Operate yard truck to move containers within the yard. * Assist in loading and unloading of containers and ensuring proper handling. * Unload railcars following proper procedures. * Inspect equipment before and after use. * Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crews as needed; check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned. * Check vehicles before operating to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. * Assist in sweeping and maintaining the yard clean. * Coordinating work with fellow workers and other team members. * Assist with the 2x4’s and cardboards. * Adhere to safety and company polices * Assist in the yard as needed (clean yard and dock, help loaders, run errands). * Work well with others and follow instructions from supervisor.
