HIRING NOW! Custom Picture Framer Art Framing Company based in Santa Monica has the following opening for the right individual. We are looking for an energetic and detail orientated person to join the team. We produce custom framing. Experience should include all facets of the picture framing industry including being proficient with chopping, joining, mat and glass cutting, stretching canvas and fabric. Knowing how to properly handle fine art is essential. We would like for our applicants to have a strong knowledge of how to run framing equipment and have a firm understanding of measurement methods. Job requirements Cut and join frames and fillets Cutting mats with mat cutter, manually cutting oversized mats. Cutting glass and acrylic Canvas stretching and fabric wrapping Mirror Framing Art Mounting Custom fitting Additional Duties may include wrapping work, light studio cleaning duties and providing strong communication to our clients. Physical Requirements Should be able to lift heavy framing. Be able to work on feet for long periods.
