Swimming pool maintenance technician We are a residential pool service and pool renovation company servicing the Washington, DC metro area. We are looking for an addition to our team to help us with the growing demand for our services. We are looking for both experienced pool technicians and entry-level staff that we will fully train for the position. Duties will include Closing/ Opening residential swimming pools, seasonal maintenance/cleaning of residential pools. The right candidate has the opportunity to be trained to do safety cover installation, vinyl liner installation, plaster preparation, pool plumbing repair, and installation, pressure washing, demolition and prep for renovation and construction, caulking, leak detection, and repair. You should be able to lift 50lbs (most of the supplies we use are in 50lbs containers). We are looking for someone with attention to detail, responsible, clean-cut and presentable, punctual, learns quickly, a team player, and has the ability to work independently and unsupervised. We offer in-house training that will ensure you are prepared and feel confident while servicing our clients. Pool maintenance and operations experience is a plus (ideal candidate will have lifeguarding or pool management experience), but NOT an absolute requirement. We can train the right person...most of our full-time salaried employees came to us with zero pool experience. Year-round employment is provided. We provide fully paid training and certification conducted by the leading lecturers in the industry during the off-season. Starting pay for candidates with no experience is $36,000/yr. Candidates with 1+ years of experience in the pool service field should expect starting pay of $38,000+/ yr. You must have the capability of operating independently and the ability to drive our vehicles (pickup trucks and vans), a clean driving record is required. Our office is located in Alexandria, VA (Landmark area). You will need reliable transportation to make it to our office each day. We work Monday-Friday 8:00 am until around 6:00-7:00 pm during the busy season. Some Saturdays will be required during peak season May and June and will be paid extra in addition to the weekly salary. ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO PASS DRUG SCREENING TEST. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $36,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year COVID-19 considerations: The job requires minimal to no interaction with our clients and we keep the office meetings and interactions in person n to the absolute minimum.
