Our client is the leading provider of RPCs for fresh products including fruit and vegetables, meat, fish, bread, eggs and other convenience solutions. By partnering with leading producers and retailers, we are working to create North America’s most cost- effective and sustainable supply chain. This General Labor position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching, in addition to frequently lifting items weighing 25-40 lbs. on average. Required Qualifications for General Labor: • Highly self-motivated, reliable “mover & shaker” with a positive, high-energy attitude. • Able to work unsupervised on own initiative. • Excellent attendance & punctuality. • Great communication skills with enthusiastic attitude to work with others in a friendly, professional manner. • Capable of lifting up to 80 lbs. and working on feet for an 8-hour shift. • Experienced with material handling equipment such as forklift, hand truck & electric pallet jacks. General Labor – Major Job Responsibilities Include: • Perform all aspects of cleaning/sterilizing plastic crates to make ready to put back into circulation. • Proficiently and securely package products to ship. • Verify paperwork is consistent with shipping labels on packages. • Move, stack, store and transfer materials, supplies and merchandise in and about facility and storage area. • Put together kits and assemblies for shipping & inventory. • Perform visual inspections to ensure product quality or need for rejection. • Use of computer for shipping & inventory. • Work with truck drivers to load and unload trucks.
