Description
Looking for some people who would like to learn to play music that we like. Old, new, rock, country, blues, originals, whatever seems good to us. Need a bass player, drums, another guitar, and a couple of singers or more for both lead and harmony. Male and female would be great. Anything beyond that is icing on the cake. About me: I've been a guitar 'strummer' for 52 years, and learning to play lead over the last few months, acoustic and electric. I have stage experience, having played live many times in the past playing bass with a band some years ago, and guitar at church. I'm 64, in great shape, healthy, and I work full time. Downside, I don't have space for practice in our new house, but I would help rent a space if no one else has room within a reasonable driving distance. Weekends are the best time for me to practice, but we'll look at that as we go. I don't care about age or skin color. Would love for this to turn into something we could do local events with. Just know upfront, I can't do indoor areas with smoke. I can't do indoor smoke of any kind, in any venue. I'm saying that right up front.
I'm not a pro player and you don't have to be, either. Just be committed to learning each song in a reasonable time frame. When you contact me, include an email address and/or phone number. My name is Marty. I don't smoke, drink or do drugs. Prefer that you be sober as well. It should go without saying, but you must have your own gear and transportation. Last of all, no room sized ego's, please.
Hope to hear from you soon!
