You numbers are wrong, it's worse than $6.00 per hour. 1 Band 4 Members $100 for 3 hour gig split 4 ways = $25.00 each. Each member is required the following time to do the gig. 30 Minutes for Loading Gear 30 Minutes Drive Time To Gig 30 Minutes Set Up Time 180 Minutes for a 3 Hour Gig 30 Minutes Tear Down 30 Minutes To Drive Home Total Time Needed Per Musician To Do The Gig 5.5 Hours $25 divided by 5.5 hours = $4.54 Per Hour This is without gas, equipment cost or rehearsal time. Even worse if you factor in a couple of beers and a meal at the Brewery you're paying them to do the gig. When did Breweries become Charities, someone please tell us.
