Shipping Receiving / Material Handlers are responsible for a variety of warehouse duties. It's a physical job! If you have never worked in a warehouse environment before, you should understand that you will be on your feet for 90% - 95% of your shift. Shipping Receiving/Material Handlers support Operations by moving and stocking materials and finished products to designated areas in the facility. Completion of a training course and is certified to operate two or more powered industrial trucks (PIT). Shipping Receiving / Material Handlers Responsibilities * Load and/or unload trucks including raw materials, finished goods, and outsourced goods. * Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner * Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas * Attention to detail while performing job duties including but not limited to reading labels, picking, transfers, palletizing, etc. * Uses bar code/scan gun system to perform job duties including picking orders, preparing orders for shipment, receiving inventory. * Check/verify incoming shipments against correct packing lists. * Transport raw and finished goods within plant/warehouse. * Coordinate carrier paperwork/equipment, bills of lading, picking tickets, etc. * Safely operate PIT equipment to move bulk and finished product into and out of assigned area * General housekeeping and specific sanitation tasks as required (e.g. you may be asked to sweep the floor, help clean a trailer, take out the trash, etc.) Shipping Receiving / Material Handlers Requirements / Qualifications * Certified to operate two pieces of PIT equipment * Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions * Strong organizational skills * Ability to multitask and prioritize * Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment * Ability to lift 50+ lbs throughout shift * Must be able to work a full-time schedule, including nights, weekends and overtime until the job is complete (sometimes required daily) * REFRIGERATED environment – NOT A FREEZER – dry cold (38*) Shipping Receiving / Material Handlers Benefits * Weekly Pay * Comprehensive Health, Dental and Vision * Paid Vacation * 401K Shipping Receiving / Material Handlers Compensation / Schedule * 1st Shift - $16 6A -4P (+OT until the job is complete - sometimes required daily) * 2nd Shift $16.25 3P – 12:30A (+OT until the job is complete - sometimes required daily) * 10 hour shift * 12 hour shift TRANSFERABLE SKILLS Forklift Operator, Distribution Warehouse, Farmhand, Freight Handler, QC, Inventory Control, Food Production, Construction Workers, Equipment Operators, Yard Dog, Material Handler, Warehouse Workers and many more!
