starting a jam

Description

I'm looking to get a group of people together to start jamming, as we come out of this change and start opening back up for the upcoming season. I'm a guitar player that messes with other instruments sometimes: drums, keys, bass. I focus on guitar though. I'm 33 and male. Most influences are blues and rock, though it's hard to generalize. I do like to play a heavy, overdrive blues but sounds definitely move over to folk, acoustic and bluegrass, along with some other popular stuff. If you're a Gary Clark Jr. fan, we will get along just fine. The intent is to get together once or twice a week and jam mostly original music. I have some space to play and a few pieces of equipment, though you'll need/want to bring your own stuff. I have a nice concert keyboard for a keys player, if interested. I also have been putting together a small DIY-type drum kit, and I have a few amps and guitars. Practice space in in Dayton, KY. (10 mins from Downtown). This will be typically built around Wunderbar in Covington, a local spot for open mics and gigs. We aren't totally back to normal yet but will get there, as the weather stays on the warmer side. I'm sure the plan will be to keep things outside as much as possible. There is a large stage, and when hosted again, everything needed for a good stage setup. Lots of people play, and there is a good community of musicians from all ranges of talent. It's been a great place for people to start bands and also just get together and jam. Open mics have always been on Sunday evenings and Tuesday nights, though it could change. Contact me for more info. Open to suggestions! This is more for the music than anything else. I'll try to repost this on a regular basis for the next several weeks.
