PART-TIME PORTER NEEDED

Part time porter is needed for a new 64 unit condo building on 139th Street in Harlem. Looking for a hard worker with experience in custodial work. You will be working alongside the building superintendent who will be there everyday supervising, and will work directly underneath him. Job description includes cleaning inside all the building common areas, including but not limited to the roof deck, gym, laundry room, lobby, elevators, storage room, hallways, stairways etc. The porter will also be responsible for the cleaning out the surrounding outdoor property, including but not limited to the front sidewalk and entrance, the driveway, the parking lot, terraces, etc. Also, the porter will be in charge of the proper sorting of garbage and recycling, as well as taking it out to the curb on collection days. Knowledge of NYC Department of Sanitation code is a must to avoid tickets due to improper sorting. On snow days, the porter will be expected to come shovel the property whether or not they are scheduled to work that day. If they were not on the schedule, they will be compensated for their time. Pay starts at $16 per hour and must be able to work 20-25 hours per week. Must be available to start work immediately as we are looking to have the new hire start working by the end of the week.
