One thing you won’t find at Old Derby is staff drama About The Position The Veterinary Technician works directly with the Veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians, the Client Service Team and the Client to ensure our patients receive the best care. This will primarily be working in the out-patient (exam), pharmacy and laboratory departments. Your listening and communication skills will be utilized as often as your animal handling and medical knowledge. Flexibility and ability to anticipate will be important in your role, and we’ll make sure you’ve been properly trained to handle any task asked of you. About You You are deeply committed to the health and well-being of pets. You thrive working with people just as much as pets. You have worked as a Veterinary Technician before and are looking to gain more experience in Veterinary Medicine. You have a foundational understanding of Veterinary Medicine. You enjoy learning new things and are looking to be more hands on. You take direction well and can clearly and confidently relay information to others. You hold the designation of Certified Veterinary Technician (not mandatory) You have either work experience as a Vet Tech or have graduated from a Veterinary Technician program.
