Part-Time Janitor (20 hours per week - evenings)
The Part-Time Janitor is responsible for thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing commercial client sites, with duties including, but not limited to: trash removal, dusting, cleaning and re-stocking supplies in various areas, sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming, window washing, and replacing light bulbs. (Specific duties may vary depending on the list of specifications required by the client at each location). Prior knowledge of chemical safety and maintenance is beneficial. Employee can perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Essential Functions
Clean restrooms, hard surfaces, empty trash and replace liners
Clean floors and carpets by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc.
Properly use chemicals to maintain the cleanliness of client sites
Use knowledge of chemical safety to maintain any chemicals and supplies on site
Maintain positive client relations by displaying professionalism
Use timekeeping system, keys, and security codes.
Restock and report any needed supplies and equipment repairs to the supervisor, along with any potential hazards
Complete non-routine/emergency cleaning as specified by work orders
Requirements
Must be 18 years of age or older
Availability to work assigned hours and the ability to take direction and work with minimal supervision
Precision and attention to detail
Previous cleaning experience preferred.
Employees should possess a valid driver’s license, to ensure the ability to travel independently to respective job sites. Certain positions require a valid license to operate company vehicle.
Work Environment
The nature of the work is physical, requires uninhibited manual dexterity, lifting, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling 25 pounds repeatedly and up to 60 pounds (occasionally).
May be required to work atop ladders and operate mechanical equipment.
Work is performed in a variety of conditions, may be exposed to extreme temperatures (0-90 degrees)
