Description

To encourage healthy coping skills, SAFE Project hosts Your Ruck workshops for military spouses. The term “ruck” comes from the military, when a service member carries a ruck, or backpack, weighing about 50-70 pounds on a long march, hike, or deployment. During Your Ruck programming, the ruck represents the unique, emotional weight carried by a military spouse or family member that often differs from their civilian counterparts. To encourage healthy coping skills, SAFE Project partners with a Marine Corps veteran and military spouse to host Your Ruck workshops for military spouses. The full, eight-hour-long Your Ruck workshops, use an evidence-based approach to identify and address risk and protective factors as a military spouse. We hope you'll join us on April 23, 2021. For more information, please email Bill Pinamont, Senior Director of SAFE Veterans at SAFE Project, at [email protected].
