. Hummingbirds are the jewels of avian the world. Measuring only a few inches and weighing a little more than a penny, these fast flying beauties can be both tame, yet entertainingly aggressive towards each other. Come learn about the 4 different species that visit us here in Colorado Springs, and how to attract them! This two hour courses is co-taught by Michael Rogers, owner of Songbird & the Orchid in Old Colorado City, and Maya Graham from Phelan Gardens. We will discuss some tips and tricks of using hummingbird feeders, and address some of the challenges such as bees and ants. We will also discuss the best attractant of all: perennial and annual flowers that hummingbirds, and you, will love! This class will follow CDC guidelines with spacing and you must wear a mask during the class.
