DuPuis Guides Survival Training Course - Phase 1 (STC-1) is a 48 hour (2 night) survival training course. DuPuis Guides Survival Training Course - Phase 1 (STC-1) is a 48 hour (2 night) survival training course where you will learn and have the opportunity to address the 6 essentials of survival for a level 1 scenario. A level 1 scenario is an undesirable hazardous situation that last for a short duration. This training course will be a mixture of classroom and practice as well as field exercises. You must have completed the Bushcraft Basics Training Course (BBTC) and the Land Navigation Course 1 (LNC1) before registering for the Survival Training Course (STC). This training course is the real deal so if you plan to attend, know what you are signing up for. We do not refund once the event has begun, however, you are free to leave at any point. We are confident that if you are looking for survival training, you will thoroughly enjoy this experience. FAQ… How intense will this course be? This will be more intense than the Bushcraft Basics Training Course but less intense than a Survival senecio exercise. You will sleep in the shelter you made for both nights. You will have an opportunity to kill, clean, cook and eat an animal. You will be provided breakfasts, lunches and dinners (you won’t starve) as well as all the water you will need. This training will take place in rain or shine and in hot or cold weather. Who is this training for? This training is for men and women ages 9 and older who are interested in developing their bushcraft skills. All minors must be accompanied by a guardian. Where will this training be held? This training will be held in Kisatchie National Forest near Woodworth, Louisiana. It’s about a 1.5 hour drive from Lafayette to the meet up location without extra stops. What time do I need to be there? All participants must be ready to roll at the meet up location at 4:30pm sharp. We will carpool into the National Forest to be in place and ready to begin at 5:00pm. Any instruction that you miss due to being late might not be recovered. We will respect the other participants.
