Job Description: Title: Product Demonstrator (WATER) Hours: Part-time, Non-Exempt, one or two scheduled 4 hour demonstrations usually during the following time frames: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., 11a.m. to 3 pm, or 3p.m. to 7 p.m. IMPORTANT: Product Demonstrators are not guaranteed a set number of hours of work each day, week, month, or year. Benefits: Not eligible, except for paid sick leave, as required by state law and local ordinance. Accountability/Reports To: Administrative Assistant Demo Coordinator, Business Development Associate. Responsibilities/Duties: As a Product Demonstrator for National Water Services, Inc. (the Company), the Employee’s main duties will include but are not limited to: • Overview: Demonstrate the Company’s bulk purified water at in-store location(s). Offering water samples and providing information on different types of water. Set up a table and performing a 4-hour sampling demo of the Company’s water. This will require knowledge of products represented. The Company will provide training materials. • Coordinate work as directed with Demo Coordinator. • The Company will provide the Employee with the following materials for demonstrations: small table (no more than four feet wide), up to three 1 gallon water bottles and a tray, or reimburse the Employee for the cost of this material (with prior authorization and a store receipt). • The Company will provide the Employee with the following disposable supplies: 3 oz. paper un-waxed cups, select-a-size paper towels and gloves, or reimburse the Employee for the cost of this material (with prior authorization and a store receipt). • If the Employee needs to purchase any materials, the time spent purchasing the material and driving to and from the store will be compensated at the Employee’s applicable hourly rate of pay. The Employee will also receive mileage reimbursement. • The Company will provide a “Demonstration Kit” and a UPS Return Label containing the following items: Royal Blue Tablecloth, National Water Services, Inc. – branded items (table runner, apron, buttons, stickers and literature). • Take pictures of each day’s demonstration and submit by text or email to the Company the day of the demonstration in real time. • Complete a Demo Report after each day and submit to the Demo Coordinator. Reports must be signed by store management by hand, that is, “wet” signature. No electronic “apps” signatures accepted. *The Employee will receive mileage reimbursement. *The Company has the sole and absolute discretion to assign other duties and projects to the Employee that are not specifically outlined in this Statement of Duties but which are generally consistent with Employee’s position as a Demonstrator. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Every position at the Company is responsible for providing quality customer service, to our customers and the store’s customers. Skills and Education Requirements: H.S. Education or GED. Reliable. Communication and relationship skills. Friendly, sociable, able to engage customers and present product in a professional manner. The Company requires a motor vehicle background check and eligibility to work in the United States for this position, which will only be performed after a conditional offer of employment is made. The Company does not run a credit report. Physical Demands: Must continuously (66% to 100% of a work day) • Be able to walk on various types of floors • Continuous standing during demonstration *Must occasionally (1% to 33% of a work day) • Walking and bending • Make use of bilateral upper extremities and hand in reaching above shoulder level. • Lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds • Repetitive use of both hands pouring and serving water • Simple and light grasping of both hands serving water • Firm and strong grasping of both hands pouring water Attire: Dress neatly and professionally. No tank tops, shorts, T-shirts (including messaged T-shirts), or clothes exposing the torso area. To accommodate customers with allergies, please be fragrance free (no perfume, smoke, etc...)
