Currently looking for Maintenance Technician Location: Southaven, MS Specifications: Full-Time/Permanent JOB POSTING Maintenance Technician – Full Time JAM INDUSTRIES – SOUTHAVEN DC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: Regular inspection of all electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other equipment of a facility. Detecting any defects and malfunctions, immediately repairing, and refurbishing the same Coordinating with the production and other departments for feedback on the functionality of machinery and equipment Reporting all defects and damages to the supervisor/manager Complying with the industry standards and safety regulations of working A rudimentary understanding of forklifts Completing all tasks as delegated by the supervising authority. Maintaining all records of the repair and maintenance works conducted in a facility. Effectively managing time and meeting all specified deadlines Basic knowledge and understanding of air-forced conveyors. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Skills and Specifications Should have excellent written as well as verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines. Should be a good team worker and have the knack of coordinating work with fellow staff as well outside contractors. Operate forklift and scissor lift. Education and Qualifications High School diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from an accredited institution 5 – 10 years of experience as a maintenance worker, electrical, mechanical, automobile, or any other discipline Other Conditions Must be able to lift at least 65lbs without assistance using proper lifting techniques and/or with the assistance of a pallet jack. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to work overtime as needed.
