Back in the late 1970s to early 1980s I used to watch this Friday (or Saturday) night show called Lakeland Vacation Theatre on the old Wausau Channel 7 (the knight). It would have advertising for the Minocqua and Woodruff area local business like resorts, clubs, and restaurants. There were ads for the old Bosaki's Boat house for example. They would play 1970s movies (mostly dramas, and not big name movies). The show would be on later at night for about 2 hours. Does anyone remember this? Does anyone have any old tapes (like VHS) that had the old full show with commercials? It would be great to get some old shows put on other media like copy to DVD or maybe posting online. It was a good childhood memory. My first vacation from the job I retired from included a trip to Minocqua and the Woodruff area around 1987. Let me know or just share your thoughts. Logan here.
