From City of West Palm Beach: March 2, 2021 Parking Administrator Ed Davis, Mayor Keith A. James, and Public Safety Advisor Gregory Key Celebrate Improvements to City Garages with Ceremonial Ribbon Cutting As part of Mayor Keith A. James' commitment to improve safety and adopt new technologies that drive efficiency in the City of West Palm Beach, the City of West Palm Beach Department of Parking Administration has implemented a new, state-of-the-art parking guidance system to improve the visitor experience in four City of West Palm Beach garages. Working with ECO Parking Technologies, the City installed the FlexTech FALCON VISION Lighting and Parking Guidance System. The new system acts like a personal assistant or concierge for motorists. Upon entry into the garage, an electronic billboard notifies visitors of available spaces. A bright LED indicator directs parking clients to an open space, which is tracked by a camera and sensor system. The system also regulates lighting and is energy efficient. This parking system has been implemented in these city parking garages: Clematis Garage, 500 Banyan Blvd. City Center Garage, 400 Banyan Blvd. Sapodilla Garage, 600 Clematis St. Evernia Garage, 333 Evernia St. Click here for a video of the new system: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfXlVldgjaU. "We are pleased to be able to bring the latest in technology to the City of West Palm Beach parking system," said West Palm Beach Mayor Keith A. James. "This upgrade is designed to help improve safety and customer service while attracting economic development to our downtown and our city. We hope it makes parking in the city's downtown garages more enjoyable and efficient for visitors and residents alike!"
